Mata Tomite began her career as a gravure idol when she was a teenager, and has been acting as an actress, performing scenes where she becomes naked. In that process, I began to think about my own nakedness, which does not belong to anyone else. Also, due to the corona crisis, on-site shooting was stopped, and while I was forced to wait at home, I started drawing paintings using colorful ballpoint pens. At first, it wasn't something to show to anyone, it was also a form of self-defense against the closing world.
Photographer Keiko Nomura saw the work and discovered Tomite's background as an artist.
