1. A beckoning cat made of clay from the Mikawa region.
This beckoning cat originates from the Nishimikawa region of Aichi Prefecture. It is large and stable, facing forward, and characterized by its large ears and eyes. It is said to be modeled after the Asahi clay doll made by Hachiro Takayama, a renowned doll maker.

2. Kutani ware lucky cat
This is a traditional craft from Ishikawa Prefecture, featuring gorgeously painted ceramics. Its distinguishing features are its vibrant colors and dignified face with small, dark eyes. The model is an extra-large Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) measuring approximately 60 centimeters in height.

3. Old Seto-style Maneki-neko (beckoning cat)
Seto City in Aichi Prefecture, famous for its pottery, is the birthplace of the first mass-produced Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) in Japan, dating back to the late Meiji period. Made of porcelain, it has a slender, three-head-tall body with a hunched back, closely resembling a real cat. The beckoning paw is modeled after the more modest design of the late Taisho period.

4. Imado Yakimaru Shime Neko
This clay figurine, made from soil from the Sumida River in Tokyo, is said to be the oldest known Maneki-neko (beckoning cat). It is depicted sitting on its side, and the "marushime" mark on its rear end symbolizes the ability to hold onto money and good fortune, preventing them from escaping. Although the practice was discontinued after the war, this figurine was created based on a modern reproduction by Yoshikazu Yoshida.

5. Tokoname-style Maneki-neko (beckoning cat)
The Tokoname-style Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) originated in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, in the mid-1940s. It is characterized by its ceramic construction, a stylized, plump, two-headed body, large round eyes, vigorously drawn whiskers, and a design in which it holds a gold coin.
