Suzy Amakane Born in Tokyo in 1956. Original manga illustrator and comic artist. Graduated from Tama Art University, majoring in graphic design. Since the 1980s, he has provided illustrations for many media outlets, including magazines, advertisements, and TV commercials. Publications: "POPPO ART" (Arachi Publishing), "Nuri COMIX" (Ongaku Publishing), etc. Lecturer at Bigakuin's "POP ILLUSTRATION School." Many solo exhibitions. A well-known representative work is the Denki Groove logo. ---- Fujio Akatsuka Born in 1935 in Manchuria (now northeastern China). After making his debut with the rental manga "Arashi wo Koete" in 1956, he moved to Tokiwa-so. In 1962, "Osomatsu-kun" became a huge hit, and after that he produced a succession of popular works such as "Himitsu no Akko-chan," "Tensai Bakabon," and "Moeretsu Ataro," and came to be known as the "King of Gag Manga." He passed away in 2008. |
