Fujio Akatsuka Born in 1935 in former Manchuria (present-day Northeast China). After making his debut in 1956 with the rental manga "Arashi o Koete," he moved into Tokiwa-so. In 1962, "Osomatsu-kun" became a massive hit, and thereafter he produced a string of popular works such as "Himitsu no Akko-chan," "Tensai Bakabon," and "Mōretsu Atarō," earning him the title of "King of Gag Manga." He passed away in 2008.
