Wisut Ponnimit Born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1976. Nicknamed Tam, he debuted as a manga artist in Bangkok in 1998 and lived in Kobe from 2003 to 2006. In 2009, he won the Encouragement Award in the Manga Division of the Japan Media Arts Festival, sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, for his work "Heeshee It Aqua." Currently based in Bangkok, he works as a manga artist and artist, while also working in a variety of fields, including animation and music. His major works include the "Mamuang" series, "Blanco" (Shogakukan), and the "Heeshee It" series (Nanarokusha). In 2016, he directed the music video for Quruli's song "Amber-Colored Town, Shanghai Crab Morning" and participated in the Saitama Triennale 2016. In 2017, he held a solo exhibition, "LR Exhibition," in Bangkok, Tokyo, and Sendai. In 2018, he published a new book, "Mamuang-chan," a collection of his serializations from the magazine "Big Issue Japan," through crowdfunding. ©Wisut Ponnimit |
