| ELLY KAWAGUCHI Originally from Aomori Prefecture. After working as an apparel fashion designer, he began working as a pen artist in 2017. He mainly uses ballpoint pens, a familiar art material, to reflect momentary expressions and changing emotions in his work. He creates works that are composed of precise lines and dots, and the colors and patterns that are visible to different people allow a wide variety of sensitivities to be conveyed from a single work. In addition to drawing delicate portraits, he has recently been creating skull works that incorporate elements of street culture. |
