The shop that the girl, who loves delicious food, visited was a coffee shop called "Saboru." The restaurant has a forest-like exterior, a cave-like interior, and a friendly owner. Then she encounters the shop's specialty, the rainbow cream soda. Unable to decide which color to order, the girl is transported to a "colorful, sweet" dream world... This is a fizzy, sweet, dreamy story set in the real coffee shop, Sabouru in Jimbocho, illustrated by Rina Namba of the Pure Coffee Shop Collection, who is the spark that ignited the pure coffee shop boom, and oyasmur, who is popular for his refreshing colors and transparent illustrations. About "Sabouru" Located in the book town of Kanda Jinbocho, this famous coffee shop was founded in 1955. The name of the shop brings to mind the word "slacker," but it actually means "taste" in Spanish. As you pass by a retro red telephone, one of the very few still in use in Japan, and pass through the entrance that exudes a tropical atmosphere, you'll find a spacious store consisting of a basement, first floor, and mezzanine floor. One of the joys of spending time here is looking at the graffiti that has covered the walls over the years. Originally, cream soda was only available in green, but now there are six different flavors to choose from, and with the help of this picture book, another color was added, bringing the total to seven. Why not treat yourself to a day of fun in an exciting secret base-like space, enjoying all the foods you love? Comment from "Sabouru" "I'm so happy. I can now create a picture book about cream soda that is full of children's dreams." - Fumio Suzuki (Saboru Master) "I want the coffee shop to be a place of dreams, even when we grow up." -Masashi Ito (Saboru store manager) |
