Takemaru Nagata

Studied under Mr. Suiho Tagawa, author of ``Norakuro.'' He also joined the ``Shin Manga Party'' and is known as a member of the Tokiwa-sou group. He is a popular manga artist with a neat drawing style and heartwarming stories. He was the first person to introduce screen tones in comics. Won the 1st Kodansha Children's Manga Award for ``Bickle-kun.'' He serialized his masterpiece, ``Onii-chan,'' in a pamphlet of the United Church of Christ in Japan. Along with Yamane Aoni and Yamane Akaoni, he is the legitimate successor to Suiho Tagawa's manga writing rights for ``Norakuro.''
