The Maneki Neko Miniature Collection is supervised by Japan's largest maneki cat museum, the Maneki Neko Museum, and features five species that can be considered the roots of the maneki cat.

The texture of the original clay dolls, ceramics, etc. has been recreated with careful painting. Comes with an explanation book full of fun trivia and information about beckoning cats written by the beckoning cat museum!

1, Mikawa clay doll beckoning cat
A beckoning cat born in the Nishi-Mikawa region of Aichi Prefecture. It is large and stable, and features large ears and eyes that face forward. It is said to be modeled after the Asahi clay dolls created by Hachiro Takayama, who was famous as a skilled puppet maker.

2, Kutani ware beckoning cat
A traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture. , gorgeously painted pottery. It is characterized by its bright colors and small, dignified face with dark eyes. The model is a super large beckoning cat with a height of about 60 cm.

3, Old Seto-type beckoning cat
Famous for Setomono Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, a ceramic production center, is the place where the mass production of beckoning cats first began in Japan in the late Meiji period. Made of porcelain, it has a slender three-headed body and a stooped body similar to a real cat. The beckoning hand is modeled after a modest late Taisho model.

4, Imado Yakimaru〆cat
Tokyo Sumida River It is said to be the oldest beckoning cat made of clay. It is shaped like a figure sitting on its side, and the ``marushime'' mark on its buttocks means that it keeps money and fortune in a round shape so that it does not go away. Although it was once abolished after the war, it was modeled after a modern reproduction by Yoshikazu Yoshida.

5, Tokoname beckoning cat
Tokoname beckoning cat is Aichi Established in the mid-1940s in Tokoname City, Prefecture. It is characterized by its plump, two-headed deformed body made of ceramics, large round eyes, vigorously drawn whiskers, and a design holding an oval.
