Mekami loves cats. She has a cat named Ame at home, and Ame is very good at making animations. She would always pretend to be Mekami and make animations to post online. However, Mekami gradually took control of the animation production and began to create animations in her own unique style, and Ame gradually returned to being a normal cat, just sleeping soundly every day. After that, Mekami became an independent animator. And to spread the philosophy of "Long live cats!", she began producing merchandise and soft vinyl figures.
