Is photography something to “learn”?
Just like playing the guitar and writing lyrics in a notebook, you can take lots of photos with a digital camera or smartphone. The camera is a visual instrument that most directly and emotionally connects thoughts and impulses to expression.
Lone long-distance runners outside the photography world are now confronting the true nature of photography.
This full-color, bilingual Japanese-English collection of works and histories by 13 photographers who continue to create photographs using unique shooting techniques, subjects, and even without a camera, such as collages, ducts, thighs, and steam locomotives and beautiful women.‼
