| Recently, when I held my first mini solo exhibition in Roppongi, I had the opportunity to meet many people with dreadlocks and similar hairstyles. To me, they were fresh, cool and stimulating, so I was inspired by them and came up with the idea of using dreadlocks to represent trees. All four paintings show the same cherry tree, depicting each season of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Cherry blossoms are beautiful in any season, not just in spring. |
