デーム(DAMN)は、言葉が持つ伝染性と誘発性を具象化した怪物です。人間の口から発せられる言葉は、声となり、音の波となって広がります。この特性から、デームは口だけを持つ異形として生まれました。その形状は、飛びかう言葉のようにも、音の波形にも見え、見る角度によって様々な表情を演出します。

デスアニマスタジオの作品である以上、デームはインテリアとして飾れることも重要な要素です。2個セットとすることで、その置き方によって多様な表情を楽しめるように設計されています。そして、人が日常で最も口を意識する場所、それは自宅の洗面所ではないでしょうか。デームのパッケージは、洗面所の空間に自然と馴染むデザインとなっています。

さらに、「言葉と伝染」という性質は、広告そのものに通じることから、デームはデスアニマスタジオのアドバタイジング・キャラクターとしての側面も持ち合わせています。これは、単なるオブジェとしてだけでなく、玩具（トイ）としての魅力も内包していると言えるでしょう。

このような複合的な要素を持つに至った背景には、作家としての強い思いがあります。現代において、類似した作品が安易に消費されていく状況に対するアンチテーゼとして、デームは生まれました。しかし、多額の制作費を投じ、プロジェクトが後戻りできない段階になって気づいたのは、「消費を否定するということは、売れないものを作るということではないか？」という現実でした。その自嘲の念から、この怪物には「クソッ！」という意味を込めて「DAMN」という名前が与えられました。

DAMN is a monster embodying the contagiousness and inducibility of words. Words spoken from human mouths become voices, spreading as sound waves. From this characteristic, DAMN was born as a grotesque being possessing only a mouth. Its shape resembles both fleeting words and sound waveforms, presenting various expressions depending on the viewing angle.

As a work by DEATH ANIMA STUDIO, it is crucial that DAMN can be displayed as interior decor. The 2-piece set design allows for diverse expressions depending on how they are arranged. Furthermore, the place where people most consciously think about their mouths in daily life is arguably the bathroom sink at home. The packaging for DAMN is designed to blend naturally into the bathroom space.

Moreover, the nature of "words and contagion" is akin to advertising itself, giving DAMN the aspect of an advertising character for DEATH ANIMA STUDIO. This suggests that it holds appeal not only as a mere object but also as a toy.

Behind these multifaceted elements lies a strong desire from the creator. DAMN was born as an antithesis to the current situation where similar works are easily consumed. However, after investing a significant amount in production and reaching a point of no return, the creator realized the reality: "Doesn't denying consumption mean creating something that won't sell?" From this self-deprecating thought, the monster was given the name "DAMN," imbued with the meaning of "Damn it!"
